What are we looking for? The role of Operations Manager is to direct, coordinate, supervise and achieve service objectives with regard to all site operations, ensuring that tasks are completed in the safest and most efficient manner in line with agreed standards in operational procedures, strategy and in a manner ensuring regulatory and legislative compliance at all times.
What will you do? You will be responsible for the team processing all inbound deliveries to prepare them for order fulfillment activity, and/or for the team fulfilling outbound orders in a manual environment. You will be responsible for monitoring labour resources and pulling necessary levers to deliver a cost-effective, efficient operation. You will work with your manager to identify and continuously improve the operation to deliver the highest levels of client satisfaction. You will support the growth of the operation and provide value in process, facility and other operations improvement initiatives. What skills will you have? Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within ecommerce (AMR is a bonus). Interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to train and develop team members to uphold policies and procedures and achieve KPIs. Understanding of Warehousing and Management systems (Manhattan is a bonus). Ability to use various pick technologies. Organised and able to manage competing priorities under pressure. Proven problem-solving ability. Data driven and strong analytical skills. PNL management and cost control. Safety management and reporting. Relationship building and stakeholder management. Additional requirements: Prepared to undertake any additional training to complement the operation. During short peak periods there may be a requirement to work weekends and after hours.
