Next Day Recruitment - Manufacturing & Operations Specialists – Toowoomba QLDCompany Overview: Australian-owned & operated OEM, that designs and builds large custom-made material handling machinery. End users are clients in the maritime, comminution/minerals & metals, and agricultural sectors. Located in Toowoomba, they have an immediate position available for an Estimator, 70/30% split, Mechanical/Structural Estimating. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a market leader.Responsibilities:Responding to quotes and order enquiries, communicating openly and honestly with clients.Reviewing scopes of work, new and existing projects, specifications, and contracts for large material handling projects.Prepare mechanical and structural steel estimates, quotes, and POs in detail for projects/jobs.Oversee design checklists, and conduct quality audits.Liaising with BDM Sales professionals, Engineers, PMs, as well as consulting with sub-contractors and suppliers.Ordering materials from suppliers.Site measurement and sketching of detailed drawings that can then be passed to the drawing office.Later, as you grow into the role, you will interpret customer-supplied drawings/plans & develop the associated submittal & production drawings.Requirements:Time served, or TAFE qualification with 5 years experience.Strong understanding of Mechanical & Structural Engineering and fabrication estimating.A people person, a good communicator, and someone who enjoys liaising with internal and external teams.Salary: Our client offers competitive remuneration packages, which vary with regards to experience, $80,000 to $95,000 + Super depending on experience.NDR is a leading manufacturing and recruitment specialist.
