The Company

Join this established Construction business, specialising in Insurance Repair and Strata work. Boasting long established relationships with Australia's major Insurance Companies and Loss Assessors. Due to strong demand, my client requires a Supervisor/Estimator to join their highly successful team in Hobart.
 
An opportunity is now available to join the team in the role of Estimator/Supervisor. In this role you will attend sites and assess damage, estimate repair costs and provide supervision of trades and comprehensive scopes of works to allow for accurate repairs. You will be expected to:

Write building insurance assessment reports Supervise building reinstatement works Engage, coordinate & manage trades during the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events Communicate & negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs Liaise between both insurance companies & insured parties Coordinate access to properties with insured parties Dispute/issue resolution as required Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OH&S requirements Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection from Building Surveyor & relevant documentation is signed off The Candidate

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate some or all of the following:
Min 3 years' experience in a supervising role Experience within insurance building is highly desirable but not essential Trade certificates in building (carpentry preferred) or a related discipline Excellent organisational & time management skills Strong computer skills Excellent communication & interpersonal skills A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Familiarity with OHS practices, legislation & regulations Familiarity with current market rates & trades. The ability to provide quality estimates without need for outside quotes Current and valid motor vehicle license The Rewards
