OO7/1 Estimator 3 months + possible extension $62.36 + super per hour Queensland State Government Cannon Hill, or Ipswich location ASAP Start Utilise your estimating expertise and join this large QLD State Government Department! Your duties will include:
Producing high quality estimates and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with the State Purchasing Policy, Minor Works, local instructions and tendering and contract methods, and client requirements. Undertaking research and development in project planning, budgeting, estimating, programming, delivery processes and procurement practices. Reporting on relevant estimating projects and/or programs providing information on volume, requests, clients, locations, acceptance rates, costs, schedule of rates, margins, and productivity. Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety. Enhancing client relationships through effective communication, sound negotiation and the provision of timely, professional, competitive estimates. You Proven experience and knowledge in an Estimating role Trade/construction knowledge/background Experience using computer based estimating packages Full Drivers' licence Proven ability to prepare documentation using appropriate communication styles.
