About the role: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team based in our head office in Macquarie Park. In this role you will be responsible for end-to-end tender submission and planning, with a strong focus on quality assurance and safety.
Key Responsibility Areas: Own the tender from site inspection through to operational handover. Lead the bid, understand the bid documents, scope of works and contractual requirements. Development of work breakdown activities, cost rates for skilled labor and trade activities. Analyse and measure risk of each tender and necessary projections for the project. Ability to dissect tender packages, compile and prepare client returnable documentation. Provide input on the project planning process to ensure optimum efficiency and lead times are met. Actively seek suitable tendering opportunities and develop relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors. Skills/Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in Estimating preferably in Asset Remediation, Civil Construction, Infrastructure or Defense environment. Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management desirable. Construction Induction White Card. Experience in preparing Bill of Quantities for Protective Coatings, Protective Linings, Concrete Repairs, Cathodic Protection, Waterproof Coatings and or other such related remedial construction type activities (desirable but not essential). Sound experience compiling complex tenders and pricing. Intermediate to advanced level skills in MS Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc).
