Estimator at INTREC We are looking for a qualified and experienced Estimator to join our team. Although each day is different, you will be responsible for:
Thoroughly reviewing tender documentation to develop accurate SOW, BOQ and Cost PlansLump sum, D&C and Construction Management tendersIssuing trade packages to sub-contractors and ensuring trade quotes are receivedPreparing take-offs and tender estimatesRecommending and delivering bid strategies and value engineering options on tendersPreparing methodologies and programmes for submissions when requiredReviewing & analysing subcontractor quotes and negotiate to obtain best pricesAssist in the preparation of tender submissions ensuring all components are includedAttend tender interview meetingsUndertake pre-commencement meetings to hand over projects to INTREC's project delivery teamServicing and expanding INTREC's subcontractor base in a professional and ethical mannerProvide leadership, guidance and support to junior members of the teamThe skills we need An experienced estimator to undertake construction and major refurbishment tendersAbility to introduce own network of reputable subcontractors to INTREC would be advantageousProven performance through successful tender bids on commercial projects from $1M – $15MTraining in a QS firm and or experience working with a building contractorExceptional verbal and written communications skillsAbility to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressureGood negotiating skills coupled with a keen eye for detailGreat autonomous skills with a keen passion for team valuesFlexibility, adaptability and being able to problem solveExperienced in Buildsoft, Cubit, MS Project, EstimateOne, Microsoft suiteINTREC and our benefits
