The Role
Accurately calculate hour estimates, mobilisation & demobilisation costs, plant & equipment and all other costs required to estimate assigned tenders.
Review tender documentation to determine scope and specific terms and conditions.
Update, and report to the Proposals Manager on the tender preparation progress and advise of any difficulties in compiling the tender submission.
Prepare and coordinate the subcontract components required for tender submissions.
Obtain highly competitive quotes for the provision of necessary materials and services.
Undertake accurate material take-offs.
Assist in the calculation and production of work claims.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years' experience from a recognised engineering contractors/heavy construction, mining, and resource industries on large scale projects.
Estimating experience with first principal build-up of man hours for structural steel, mechanical equipment and piping, desirable.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite particularly, Excel.
Experience with Primavera 6.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently.
