Di Martino Earthworks is an excavation and earthmoving company in Melbourne, currently we have 14 men and women in the business. We are a fast-paced eager company looking to continue our current growth trajectory in the coming years in the residential, commercial and civil markets. We are looking for an estimator to help us continue the current pipeline of work into 2025 and beyond!Job Description & Key Responsibilities:Review scope of worksReview and interpret constructions and engineering drawingsComplete quantity take offs and 3D modelling for projectsDifferent soil profile quantities for each jobMeasure concrete and steel types and quantitiesPrepare mark up plans for construction crew to use on siteCommunicate with construction crew on details of project where neededPresent job to our foremen on site once awardedCommunicate with suppliers for cartage, steel, concrete, crushed rock, tip sites etc.Assist in the operations of the business for programming and allocation of machines and workforceWork together with our directors to help price new exciting projects for our existing clients and future clienteleGenerate/approach new leads for potential clientele in our target marketMust have a good understanding of excavation, earthmoving and concreteGood communication skillsAttend site meetings to assess site access and project requirementsTake notes, photos, videos and generate a report for each siteMinimum 3+ years in estimating and quantity surveyingExperience with estimating software as well as be able to do manual take offs where requiredMust be able to use Microsoft ExcelHit quoting targetsWhat Di Martino Earthworks has to Offer:Competitive salaryBe a key part of the current and future success of our companyWork with our young driven team to keep providing the standard of workmanship we are proud to deliver as a company
