DUTIES Providing detailed budget estimate preparation/quotes for joinery, which would include interior fit-out, loose furniture, etc. for mainly high-end commercial and residential projects.
Working alongside our team, navigating design challenges and their effect on cost.
Assisting in the production process by ordering materials and providing material procurement sheets to related parties.
Liaising with drafters, factory, and clients and attending site surveys when required.
Building relationships with key vendors (designers, builders, suppliers, sub-trades, etc.).
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar field.
Have a solid understanding and knowledge of joinery fabrication methods and material processes.
Be comfortable working in a technical environment.
Be an articulate communicator and have an inquiring mind.
Being able to understand technical drawings is essential.
Be organised and conscientious with a high level of quality control and attention to detail.
Have a strong market knowledge of materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Be able to conduct research to obtain data on materials, production times, etc. Use our in-house software for data analysis and budgeting.
Have good Excel skills.
Have a presentable appearance.
Be an excellent communicator.
