The opportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Construction team, based in our Adelaide office.
In this role, you will be responsible for the tendering & cost planning of internal & external projects across multiple states and market sectors.
You ensure all cost deliverables relating to your projects are complete, accurate, and submitted in accordance with the tender conditions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the Construction Leadership Group to cost plan a diverse range of internal & external projects from concept to tender phaseAssuming a lead estimating role within bid teams to secure external tenders across multiple market sectorsWorking closely with internal & external project stakeholders to drive budget outcomes during ECI phasesEngaging and managing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultantsManaging external quantity surveyors and other external bid support personnel to facilitate bid deliverablesProviding training & support for estimating cadets & other junior estimating team membersContributing to business development efforts and securing new work opportunitiesSupporting live projects with cost planning services as requiredDriving value management outcomes across all projectsSupporting innovation initiatives within the businessRequirementsExperience and success in both cost planning & tendering construction projects across multiple market sectorsExperience and a sound understanding of typical Australian construction delivery & construction models & contractsDiploma / Degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or related fieldRecruitment agencies please note that this role is being sourced by Hindmarsh directly; we are not accepting applications from external recruitment agencies at this time.
