About the opportunity:
Due to continued growth, my client is currently recruiting permanently for an Estimator. Reporting to the Tendering and Estimating Director, you will be responsible for assisting with tenders, project costings, and valuations for demolition/enabling works projects in London. Guidance and training will be provided on an ongoing basis, but you will be accountable for coordinating all aspects of the estimating process; preparing and submitting tenders; preparing quotation schedules with estimating times and materials; taking off and analysing quantities; supporting the project team in pre-tender meetings; liaising with clients during the tender and pre-contract award periods; and ensuring all tenders and budgets are commercially costed taking into account plant, labour, materials, and time requirements.
About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent opportunity, the salary has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend on previous experience and suitability; however, the successful professional could expect to target a basic salary anywhere from £50,000 - £65,000 per annum. About the requirements:
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a relevant discipline. You will hold a minimum of 3 years' experience in an estimating role, working within the construction industry for a UK-based subcontractor or main contractor. Experience within demolition is preferable, although not essential as full training will be provided; however, you must have a keen interest in this sector. You must be proficient in all Microsoft packages and work well under pressure.
