A medium sized Residential Formwork company, we're looking for an Estimator experienced in formwork, to join our team as we continue to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stepping stone to grow within the industry.
About the role Based in our Banksmeadow office, you'll play a crucial role in our office team of 4, ensuring our high-end residential projects are accurately priced. You'll be responsible for estimating the costs of formwork, concrete placing & finishing and steel fixing services, from architectural & structural designs. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities: Estimate Preparation: Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for formwork, concrete and steel fixing servicesQuoting Process: Manage the quoting process, from preparation to submissionTake-Off Software: Utilise take-off software to accurately quantify materials and labour needsCost Analysis: Analyse project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and project requirementsBudgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company goalsRisk Assessment: Identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure project successDocumentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates and quote submissions in the systemCollaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects and clients, to ensure clear communication and successful outcomesMarket Research: Stay updated on industry trends, material costs and labour rates, to ensure competitive and accurate estimatesAbout you: Proficient in take-off software, estimation software and Microsoft OfficeStrong understanding of construction processes, materials and cost estimation techniquesExcellent analytical and mathematical skillsStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracyWe offer both an attractive salary and a focus on work life balanceFor the right candidate, this offers a genuine stepping stone to long-term growth in the industryJoin a team where hard work and fun coexist, creating a positive workplace cultureOpportunities for continuous learning and career advancementOur values are important to us – do you share these?
