About: Due to growth and development, our client, a successful tier 3 builder, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the team.
Overviews: Our client has been successfully trading for the last 15 years, working across projects valued up to $15M in the Education and local government sector. Due to growth, they are seeking an Estimator with a track record of tendering for lump sum projects, ideally with a reputable tier 3 builder who can represent the business. We're looking for a detail-oriented, commercially savvy Estimator who can create detailed tenders for Government clients. As the suitable candidate, you will be used to working on 3-4 tenders at any time and have first-class communication skills, being able to build and develop solid relationships with your subcontractor base and clients.
Duties: Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates Review and analyse drawings and documentation Attend interviews and represent the business during the procurement process Conduct cost analysis, risk management throughout the project Liaise with contractors and gain best prices Assess and value variations and claims Provide project cost analysis Requirements: Tertiary qualified in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management A minimum of 2 years of local experience as Estimator/Quantity Surveyor You will have worked for a tier 3 builder Experience of working on Government tenders Highly computer literate including Buildsoft Process-driven approach to your work Tender writing experience preferred First-class communication skills are essential What's on offer: This is a great time to join a business that is in a growth phase.
