ROLE DUTIES Prepare and review documentation & drawings and request further information as required Preparing Bill of Quantities Requests for Tender, drawing specifications, and other documentation to prepare precise costings. Analysing plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates across the civil industry including total tonnages, building materials, rates per tonne measurements and overheads. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, including travel to regional locations, as necessary. Contributing to system and process improvements, including updates and maintenance of the database. Liaise and engage with stakeholders to negotiate terms and clarify project requirements Adapting industry-leading pricing strategies and introducing processes to enhance efficiency and margin value. Take ownership of the Estimating/Tendering function for the business, using your experience, knowledge, and skillset to work autonomously as required EXPERIENCE/SKILLSET Minimum 5+ years' experience in civil estimating or relevant field Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar. Ability to review and analyse Request for Tender, drawing specifications, and other documents to prepare costings. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to work autonomously Working knowledge of building and demolition processes and desire to learn and develop further.
