Due to a pipeline of current and forecasted future works, Civmec Gladstone are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified Estimator to join our expanding team.
This position is offered on a full-time permanent basis from our new Callemondah Workshop and will play a key role in our continued growth.
The RoleAccurately calculate hour estimates, mobilisation, demobilisation costs, plant & equipment, and all other costs required to estimate assigned tenders.Review tender documentation to determine scope and specific terms and conditions.Prepare and coordinate the subcontract components required for tender submissions.Work to the Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.Work with peers to create competitive alternate proposals to serve client needs.Obtain highly competitive quotes for the provision of necessary materials and services.Collate material take-offs and job costs into clear, well-structured documents.Partake in tender reviews with senior management and adjust costings as required.Prepare professional tender submission documents in line with client and company requirements.About YouTo be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Minimum five (5) years' experience within engineering/heavy construction/mining and resource industries on large scale projects.Industry related experience in Fabrication/SMP projects in the workshop or brownfields sites.Mechanical Trade background or relevant Engineering Degree.Estimating experience with first principal build-up of resource hours.Strong Microsoft office suite particularly, Excel and MS Projects.Experience with Primavera 6 (P6).Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently.Ability to undertake a 3 site MediPass medical and Client Inductions to support estimating role.Civmec + YouAt Civmec, we offer an inclusive workplace built on family values, with a 'Never Assume' culture, sustained by our experienced and supportive management team.
