Join QBuild for an exciting career opportunity as an Estimator to provide competitive estimates and quotations for customers to QBuild. QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. About The Role You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing accurate planning and the development of high quality quotations and tender documentation for building construction and maintenance projects. Duties And Skills Involved Producing high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with industry best practice, departmental standards and client requirements. Utilising estimating computer packages to ensure consistency and best practice in the provision of client quotations. Assessing and preparing accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages; including material lists and construction programs. Assisting in the development and research of estimating, costing, contract administration and contract cost management practices. Working effectively with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to maximise service delivery, achieve business costs savings and satisfy client requirements.

Preferred Skills And Experience Proven ability to apply best estimating practices, to interpret, plan and prepare accurate building estimates. Working knowledge of contemporary estimating methods used in the building, construction and maintenance industry, including associated legislative and regulatory requirements.
