We are currently seeking an Estimator to join the Estimating Team. Based in our Osborne Park office and reporting to the Estimating Manager, this role is responsible for leading the estimating function for tenders, EOI's, and operational budgets, whilst supporting business analysis activities and the operational and strategic development functions of the Line of Business.
Role Responsibilities: •Estimate tender packages in accordance with Tender Procedure,
•Contribute to the execution methodology,
•Prepare, manage and assess vendor packages,
•Estimate Direct and Indirect costs consistent with the agreed execution methodology,
•Identify Project risks and opportunities and qualify or price as advised by the Bid Manager,
•Provide input into tender programmes,
•Assist Bid Manager and Tender Coordinator with documentation requirements,
•Prepare for and participate in tender review and approval meetings,
•Ensure close-out of all actions raised during review,
•Participate in Client tender presentations and tender clarification process as required,
•Prepare handover documentation to Project team for successful Project awards.
Education and Experience: * Minimum 2-3 years experience in a Mechanical or Electrical estimating role, ideally with construction contractor EPC direct-hire labour, plant and materials experience.
* Successful estimating experience in the WA Resources sector for project values ranging from $5m up to $100m+.
* Degree qualified Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industry specific field experience.
* Proven success pricing and winning "First Principle" bids.
* Intermediate-Advanced user of Excel.
* Sound commercial acumen including understanding project cost and scheduling.
