ABOUT THE CLIENT
My client is a commercial and work place consultancy, specialising in strategy and design, with in house estimation, project and construction management.
With offices in Melbourne, Brisbane & Sydney and clients across Australia & New Zealand completing thousands of projects.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to Senior Management, the Estimator will play a critical role in the success of our projects by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates. This position involves detailed analysis of project requirements, meticulous quantity take-offs, and preparation of comprehensive bids and proposals. The Estimator will collaborate closely within the team, with subcontractors, and clients to ensure that projects are priced accurately and aligned with the company's strategic objectives
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project Analysis Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and project requirements Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information and understand project constraints Cost Estimation Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities and Cost Plans for labour, materials, equipment, and all subcontractor services including from early concept stage drawings utilising estimating software (Cubit) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process. Provide quick, high level budgets at the concept stage to assist design team in developing the design and scope to a prescribed budget ABOUT YOU Minimum three years' experience in Fit Out / D&C projects Experience in pricing jobs up to $5m Possess tertiary qualifications in Building and Construction Proficiency in estimating software (Cubit) and MS Office Suite. Proven history of estimating projects in line with budgets, specifications, and timelines Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities Highly diligent, organised with strong attentional to detail Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
