You will contribute to the delivery of the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery program, consisting of upgrades to dams, treatment plants and pipelines across South East Queensland. The five year program totals approximately $6 billion, with some of our major projects estimating total project costs between $250 million and $2 billion. You will be responsible for the development and ongoing review of project estimates throughout the project life cycle.Key responsibilities:Lead and manage the cost estimating, analysis and intelligence function across the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery program of works. This includes collating historical data and market trends to inform estimates.Collaborate with Project Directors, Project Managers and Program Managers to understand project/program objectives, priorities and manage and optimize program activities to ensure estimates accurately reflect project/program requirements.Work with stakeholders to develop, implement and promote the organisation's Estimating Standard and supporting information across the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery program.Provide expert advice to the Principal Program Controls, Program and Project Directors and Managers and the Leadership Team on total project and project stage estimates.About youTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering or construction management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Significant successful project estimating experience within a major infrastructure project environment, preferably in a senior or lead role.Demonstrated experience in leading technical experts and managing contractors and/or consultants.Demonstrated experience in the development, monitoring and controlling of project estimates through the various project stages in the project lifecycle.Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.This position has a salary range of $132,491 - $142,924 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements.
