Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia.
This newly constructed mine site is one of Australia's largest and lowest-cost gold mining operations boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile of more than 10 years.
Reporting to the OHS Lead, you will be responsible for the coordination and development of the Medical, Emergency Services, and Security functions on site.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

Long service leave pro rata after 5 years of continuous service About the role: Lead and engage the Emergency Response Team to ensure the best emergency service and security practices. Plan and coordinate mock emergencies in line with the code of practice guidelines. Maintain poisons permit compliance in line with Department of Health regulations. Assist in the effective budget control of expenses. Represent the site and Gold Fields Australia in several forums relating to, but not limited to mine rescue committees and competitions, law enforcement agencies, mining regulators, and community emergency response groups. Accurately maintain information systems, emergency response plans and procedures, and other documentation to ensure site certifications and legal compliance are achieved. Implement, manage, and maintain security policies and site access procedures. Conduct security investigations as needed and liaise with external stakeholders as required. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management. About you: Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue Certificate IV in Health Care Certificate - Control a Level 1 incident - Incident Management & Certificate III in Security Operations (Desirable) Possess a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and OHS Proven extensive experience in Emergency Services and/or Security teams in a mining environment. Leadership experience in an Emergency Services team environment Familiar with using software such as INX, Best Practice, and Gallagher will be highly regarded.
