The Community Engagement Officer is based at headspace Esperance and provides service to young people and the community via an asset-based community development approach and through collaborative work with local consortium members, young people, communities, and stakeholders.
The Community Engagement Officer leads the increase of community awareness regarding mental health through psychoeducation on issues among young people and their families. This role facilitates youth and, where relevant, family participation, and organizes and delivers health promotion activities, projects, and community events to engage identified target populations.
