Known for your strong communication skills and collaborative approach, you're adept at training personnel, conducting inspections, and implementing EHS programs that enhance operational readiness and resilience.
Your commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance directly aligns with KBR's mission of building a safer, more secure, and sustainable future.This is a contingent position based upon contract award.What You'll DoIn the role of EH&S Specialist, your duties will include:Manage environmental programs for compliance, pollution prevention, and/or natural resource protection programs.Prepares and oversees SOWs and cost estimates for environmental studies, designs, and projects.Continually ensures and monitors compliance and investigations of non-compliant issues.Establishes and manages hazardous waste storage and disposal policies and practices.Oversees identification and validation of potential contaminated sites and development/implementation of remedial action plans.Manages staff, budget and policies affecting specific programs.Other duties as required.Requirements:Must be a US or Australian citizen.Must have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance.Must have a minimum of a BA/BS, from an accredited institution, preferably in environmental science or EH&S related field.Must have a minimum of five years of EHS experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.Must possess an ASP, CSP, CIH, CEP (Preferred), or Australian equivalent (note: a CSP or CIH are preferred); An EH&S related Master's Degree may suffice for Certification requirement.Must have knowledge of process improvement models.Must have an understanding of the US and Australian bilateral agreements governing EHS.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and statistics related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports, presenting safety training, and interacting with regulatory bodies.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify safety risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.Physical Requirements: Depending on the sector, there may be physical demands such as walking extensive distances on inspection rounds.This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
