We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Sustainability and Reporting Manager to join our team in Sydney or Melbourne. You will enjoy being part of a small but high-powered team which has relationships with the whole business. Reporting to the Head of External Affairs & Public Policy and working with Heads across the business, you will be expected to be a self-starter and able to operate with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of the company's sustainability & reporting strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant internal and external frameworks and standards.Collect, analyse, and verify ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data from various sources within the organisation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.Prepare high-quality sustainability reports, ensuring clear and transparent communication of the company's ESG performance to internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, Procurement, HR, and Operations, to gather data and insights necessary for sustainability reporting.Stay updated on emerging sustainability reporting requirements and industry trends, providing recommendations on enhancements to reporting processes and disclosures.Support the company's ESG data management systems and tools, ensuring data integrity, efficiency, and accessibility.Assist in preparing material for external stakeholders, including investors, ratings agencies, and industry associations, to address inquiries related to sustainability reporting and ESG data.Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills Experience in sustainability reporting, preferably within the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of relevant existing and anticipated reporting frameworks and disclosure requirements, both in Australia and internationally.Proficiency in ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting, focusing on key sustainability metrics relevant to the financial sector.Familiarity with financial services regulations and sustainability trends impacting the industry, such as green finance and impact investing.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex ESG data in a clear and concise manner, including to board directors.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple reporting cycles and deadlines simultaneously.Proficient in sustainability reporting software and data management systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Seize opportunity: identify areas for continuous improvement.Act with urgency: demonstrate speed to action with agility and determination.Seek diverse perspectives: source ideas and feedback to expand thinking and make informed decisions.Create alignment: collaborate with others across the organisation with candour and transparency.Take responsibility: be accountable and act in pursuit of the right outcomes.Deliver what matters: execute meaningful priorities and follow through on commitments.Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance) is required. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
