An exciting career opportunity for a qualified ESG Analyst to join the Fund's Research Team, reporting to the Head of Research.
The role involves integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into the fund's corporate activities and investment process through research, engagement, and data analysis.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Continue to develop and implement ESG policies and procedures which reflect a commitment to sustainability and stewardship and align with industry best practices.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of ESG data for compliance with reporting obligations for both the corporate entity and investee companies.
- Complete ESG assessments for investment coverage reports, including periodic counterparty reviews.
- Assist with ESG stewardship and engagement activities.
- As required, engage with industry bodies such as RIAA, the UN PRI and third-party ESG advisors and service providers.
Skills and experience We are considering highly motivated candidates with approximately 3-5 years' experience in ESG in an investment context, with a strong understanding of sustainability principles.
The ideal candidate is looking to make a long-term commitment to their next position and possess the following attributes:
·Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade others and build consensus around ESG initiatives;
·High-intensity work ethic and willingness to work outside normal hours;
·High levels of honesty/reliability/dependability;
·A keen interest in improving the governance, transparency, and sustainability in individual companies and investment markets more broadly;
·Exceptional attention to detail;
·Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
·Tertiary qualifications and postgraduate studies in Sustainability (or similar ESG related), with Commerce, Finance and/or Economics highly regarded; and
·Full working rights.
