Mining - Operations (Mining, Resources & Energy) Fitzroy Mining Operations is a new force in the Queensland metallurgical coal mining industry with a portfolio of existing operations and a pipeline of growth projects. As a frontline leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day functioning and performance of the crew. You will effectively manage people and equipment to carry out planned work activities. This role also has statutory obligations. The minimum skills and expectations for this role are, but not limited to: Prioritising activities with the crew to achieve targets; Providing leadership to the crew, setting a positive example and assisting the team to achieve their full potential; Clearly defining and communicating performance goals and providing regular and objective feedback on performance; Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and carrying out statutory inspections and mine standards; Ensuring all workers work safely and efficiently whilst carrying out their duties with due regard for quality of work; Completing required levels of reporting as part of information flow on site.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a Queensland First, Second or Third-class Certificate of Competency or a Queensland Mutual Recognition. Or, if you are willing to work towards achieving mutual recognition of competency from NSW to QLD. You will be able to think laterally, have strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills. What's in it for you
