Equity Sales Trader

We are seeking a highly motivated Trader to join our growing team in Melbourne, that covers event driven equity strategies throughout Asia as part of our global coverage.
You will join a dedicated team environment, with a big emphasis on learning and flexibility.
Responsibilities: Executing institutional clients orders across Asian markets.Ability to execute single stock, pair and basket orders.Interact with clients on market colour and flows.Manage and develop client relationships with buy side traders.Interact with local brokers to source market colour, flows and build relationships.This role requires candidates with: Sound mathematical and excel skills.Accuracy, diligence and a high level of attention to detail.Ability to manage large volumes of order flow for the desk.Capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced global equity market environment.Willingness to explore a path to Sales and Revenue generation.Good client-facing skills.Excellent personal communication and strong academic performance.Knowledge of Bloomberg.Experience with Trading Systems.Additional language skills advantageous but not required.Existing relationships with buyside clients and experience is advantageous.Strong team ethic.Email cover letter, CV and academic transcript to:******
