OverviewAs an Equity Analyst on Susquehanna's Research team, you will partner with our senior analysts and traders to identify investment opportunities. Research analysts provide in-depth country and sector-level analysis and provide opinions as new information emerges throughout the trading day. You will be responsible for finding opportunities that other market participants may not be capitalising on, either by discovering new information or considering existing knowledge from a different perspective. This role provides the unique opportunity to combine the quantitative aspects of finance with creative problem solving in order to develop trade ideas in a fast-paced proprietary trading environment.At Susquehanna, we place a high value on education and development, especially for recent graduates. You will also participate in classroom education where you will learn about options and the decision-making strategies that our traders employ.What You'll DoIdentify and analyse catalyst events for the stocks or sector under coveragePerform stock valuation analysisCollaborate with derivative traders on investment ideasProvide real-time opinions on breaking newsForecast dividendsEvaluate special situations such as mergers and acquisitions and other corporate actionsTravel to company events and conferences as requiredWhat we're looking for1-3 years of relevant professional experienceDegree in Finance, Economics or related discipline, distinction average WAM, from an Australian or New Zealand UniversityPrior exposure to fundamental company research preferredStrong written, analytical, and financial research skillsAbility to prioritise and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentFamiliarity with a trading environment and derivative products preferredWorking knowledge of all major asset classes (e.g. fixed income, equities, commodities, forex) beneficial but not requiredMust be a self-starter, a quick learner, an effective communicator, and resourceful in solving problemsInterview ProcessApply -> Quantitative Assessment -> Recruiter Interview -> Case Study -> Interview -> Job Offer
