The Role
Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for roles as an Equipment Operator in the Supply Department.
Your primary purpose will be as a member of the on-site logistical team to assist them in achieving their tasks which encompasses multiple demands across the Mount Isa mining operations.
The role itself will be a combination of onsite delivery of key commodities & recovery of final products as well as consolidation of both for inbound and outbound distribution.
Operating equipment will be a key component which will assist the team's focus in providing and maintaining a reliable and cost-effective transportation service to our end users to ensure we assist them in attaining their production targets.
Your Responsibilities: Be a positive influence within the team and be able to adapt to change and enhance your skills base.Operate multiple equipment.Assist with achieving reliable transportation & delivery of key commodities.Recover final product (Metals) & work within scheduled windows to load rail & road outbound freight.Work with team & service providers & end users so schedule/ demand is known and achieved.Assist supervisor in managing team's obligations to safety & training. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Current Australian manual driver's licence.Holder of a current high-risk licence.Vehicle licences such as HC or MC desirable.Reach stacker forklift licence.Dangerous Goods Licence will be well considered.Prior experience in the mining and/or transport industry.Experience & knowledge of the Mount Isa mines lease and plants highly desirable.
