Join our team to play a vital role in supporting the Logistics and Equipment Manager in establishing supply chains, managing key suppliers of protective clothing and operational equipment, as well as supporting our volunteers by ensuring they have the necessary equipment and resources to perform their duties effectively and safely.
ROLE SUMMARY: This role is responsible for assisting the Logistics and Equipment Manager with the management of personal protective clothing and equipment servicing contracts, system administration of the clothing ordering system, purchasing operational equipment including establishment of supply chains and leading the development of equipment and clothing specifications.
This position is a non-operational role that requires a flexible and solution-focused approach with the ability to deliver specific outcomes within clearly defined time and resource constraints.
At times, this role will also be required to work outside normal business hours and on weekends to attend various workshops and taskforces.
Whilst this is a non-operational position, this role may provide support to operational staff during major or declared operations.
This role is also required to undertake the Asset Duty Officer (ADO) role as per the roster.
The ADO is required to provide support to members who encounter issues with fleet and equipment after hours.

To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities.
We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
As the largest road rescue network in Australia, we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents.
We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria, and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
