We are seeking expressions of interest for a certified Motor Mechanic (Light Vehicle/ Heavy Diesel) to join our team in 2024.
With a focus in the 4wd market, we also service and repair small passenger vehicles of all makes and models.
Tasks Include but not limited to: Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations reassembling engines and parts after being repaired Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls To be eligible for this position you will require the following: Relevant Mechanical qualification (min 2yrs preferred) and Manual C Class drivers licence – Current (preferred) Some experience with 4wd accessory fitting would be beneficial.
Experience with diagnosing faults & auto electrical components - beneficial Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment Effective time management Have excellent work ethic, be motivated, tidy and good communications skills.
Adhere to safe working practices Complete other duties as instructed by your supervisor.
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year plus superannuation This role is a residential role based in Kununurra, WA.
