About the position The Equipment and Inventory Lead operates as part of the Workshop team. The purpose of the position is the management of our equipment, tooling, and consumables for both the workshop and construction sites.
The position requires a sound knowledge of structural steel and piping materials, interstate & local transport and inventory management associated with the steel construction industry.
About You To best support your growth and ours, we're looking for candidates who possess:
Proficient in warehouse management and inventory management, including best practice methodologies. Familiar with engineering and manufacturing terminology. Knowledge of Australian OHS regulations and standards. Experience with quality control and standards compliance relevant to warehousing. Willingness to suggest and implement process change to promote continuous improvement. Organisational and record keeping skills. Good verbal, email and reporting communication skills. Computer literate with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and a strong ability to master new systems and enhance their use. Ability to lead a small team when required. Professional demeanour for dealing with external and internal customers. Desirable Qualifications Forklift licence. Test and tag licence. Basic maintenance and troubleshooting experience for warehouse equipment. This position requires a current National Police Check (no more than 3 months old), a current driver's licence, and evidence of right to work in Australia. Candidates must be currently residing in Australia to be considered for this position. A pre-employment medical will be required.
