Job Title: Mill Operations Operator Level 2 -6
The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit.
Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is owned by Equinox Gold Corp., a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

Mill Operations Operator
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mill Operations Operator to join our team.
Reporting to the Mill Operations Shift Supervisor, the Mill Operator is responsible for safe day-to-day mill operations while ensuring production and quality requirements are within guidelines.
The Mill Operator will be collaborating with all other departments as a team, to achieve set out budgeted targets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Ensure adherence to all pre-operational checks and procedural requirements to safely start-up, efficiently operate, and safely shutdown all process equipment.
Have a strong commitment to Safety First.
Ensure all aspects of operation, environmental policies and practices are followed, keeping the preservation of the natural environment a priority.
Monitor/Operate powerhouse, process, and fire water systems, and immediately report any malfunctions that may affect production targets or personnel safety.
Monitor and control the Mill Grinding circuit to achieve maximum throughput and target grinds for Leach feed.
Monitor/Operate Gyratory Crusher, HPGR, Grinding, Leach/CIP, Elution, Cyanide Detoxification, Tailings, Reagent Mixing and Water Treatment and Water Management.
Monitor reagent delivery and addition systems.
Operate and monitor the computer-based control system within its parameters.
Coordinate and communicate operations in a timely and effective manner with other departments (i.e., Maintenance, Mining etc.).
Inspect circuits regularly to detect any areas of concern and arrange maintenance as required.
Perform Lock Out and Tag Out procedures on processing equipment as required.
Operate all equipment in accordance with Company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
Troubleshoot, correct, and report circuit upsets and equipment malfunctions when required.
Complete and maintain shift logs and reports to the level of detail required, ensuring accuracy in the reporting of data.
Operate various pieces of auxiliary and mobile equipment when required.
Share best practices and experiences with other operators to promote a strong and successful teamwork environment.
Fill in as a relief supervisor when required.
Other related duties may be assigned as part of the progression plan.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Minimum of 5 years in a gold mill plant.
Ontario Common Core (Processing Mill Operations) is considered an asset.
Commissioning experience would be considered an asset.
LOCATION
This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario.
Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up point locations.
