An excellent opportunity for a skilled Procurement Manager to implement and manage procurement strategies for the Equans ANZ team, fostering relationships and driving operational expectations. Located in either Sydney or Melbourne, the successful applicant will be responsible for implementing and managing procurement strategies that ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and sustainability, while developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving operational excellence for the business.

What you will be doing Develop and implement procurement strategies to minimise company costs. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing, and performance evaluations. Oversee category management for direct and indirect spend (e.g., equipment, energy, office supplies, travel, and fleet). Manage subcontractor pricing, onboarding, and compliance. Negotiate property leases, insurance policies, and claims. Promote Indigenous and sustainable procurement practices, including contract negotiations and partnerships. Conduct regular audits of supplier performance, compliance, and pricing adherence. Lead negotiations for supplier rebates and major project pricing support. Develop and communicate purchasing policies in alignment with company standards. Drive purchasing behaviour towards compliance and cost savings. Standardise purchasing processes and ensure compliance controls. Provide spend analysis, cost-saving opportunities, and performance tracking. Purchased Leave. Additional Paid Parental Leave Study leave. Volunteer leave. What you need Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement role. Preferably involved in procuring materials and services in the construction services business including electrical, communications, HVAC and Fire Safety systems will be highly regarded. Strong negotiation skills – partnering with major suppliers to obtain best outcomes. Experience in improving procurement / supply chain environment. Sound commercial acumen - understand budget management processes and forecast future demand. Strong analytical skills. Advanced MS Excel skills. Strong understanding of Procurement & Inventory functionality within ERP systems. Your Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Purchasing; Warehousing and Distribution; Business Management; Accounting, or another related field. Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) membership preferred.
