Epiroc is proud to be working in collaboration with Roy Hill to deliver an Autonomous Haulage Solution (AHS) project which will boost safety, productivity and operations. As a leading global mining equipment and services productivity partner, Epiroc is set to convert Roy Hill's mixed fleet of haul trucks from a manned to an autonomous operation.
This role is primarily focused on providing Tier 2 Onboard Support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the AHS System's Software and Hardware. A week in the life of a Tier 2 specialist can include reviewing support tickets for emerging problems, analyzing system logs to identify a system issue, conducting tests and gathering measurements for root cause investigation, collaborating with Tier 3 to drive future development, and presenting status updates and resolutions to customer stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include: Embed into customer on-site operation teams as the 2nd level of triage support. Customer's point of contact for onboard system reliability, troubleshooting and problem resolution. Maintain and promote a strong focus on AHS Downtime and Availability. Provide Level 2 support to the Level 1 Truck specialists for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and best practice. Provide on-the-job support to team members in the event of resource constraints, inclusive of actual execution of work scopes. Utilizing service management tools to track issue trends to discover and resolve system problems or improvements. Managing scope and content of hardware or software upgrade deployment campaigns ensuring the customer and execution teams are set for success. Maintain configuration management repositories and monitor the configuration status of the fleet. Ensure teams can access all required technical information to effectively diagnose and repair Epiroc AHS software and hardware issues, and where required create new technical documentation. Promote and actively participate in change management, functional safety, and training material development activities. Foster continuous process improvement for more effective and efficient work practices. An effective and trusted mentor for front line technicians and specialists. Able to use data and experience to make decisions and communicate updates with confidence. Able to break down a high-level objective to establish detailed plans that outline what is needed to achieve the goals. Ability to adjust the plan as needed in response to changing circumstances. Effectively manage time to execute tasks to complete them within set deadlines. Analyze and use sound judgment to complete all tasks efficiently and safely.
