About the role We are a dynamic and forward-thinking organization seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting & Administration Assistant to join our team. Key Responsibilities Administration Provide general administrative support to the team. Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate resources. Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other documents. Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems. Finance Perform daily banking and monthly bank reconciliations. Handle accounts payable duties, including invoice processing, credit card reconciliations, and supplier statement reconciliations. Conduct accounts receivable management, including following up on overdue payments and setting credit limits. Process various invoicing stages for works and ensure timely BAS returns. Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and end-of-month journals. Enter payroll hours for fortnightly payroll processing. Collaborate with the finance team on month-end and year-end tasks. Process creditor payments and support finance-related tasks as required. Other Duties Suggest improvements to processes and systems. Ensure work safety by identifying and halting activities posing a risk of personal injury. What We're Looking For Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (or similar) is desirable. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounts administration role. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Sound knowledge of accounts payable and finance administration processes. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Highly organized and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
