About This Role This is an Expression of Interest for a Simulator Technician role in RAAF Base Townsville, QLD.
The Simulation Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Manager (or delegate) to perform all preventative and corrective maintenance on training devices under support in a safe and effective manner, ensuring maximum successful training events are able to be achieved by the end user. The platform you will be working on is for the CH47 Flight Simulator.
Key Responsibilities Carries out all maintenance tasks effectively as directed by Senior Simulation Technician or Maintenance ManagerAssists Senior Simulation Technicians with investigations supporting site based engineering development needsParticipates in maintenance related continuous improvement activitiesWorks to CAE's Environment, Health & Safety Management SystemOur Ideal Candidate has: Cert IV in Aeroskills Avionics (or similar)Sound knowledge of computer/IT system and networkingSenior First Aid & CPRAviation and/or flight simulator industry experienceNote: as the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
