New opportunities for Senior Disability Support Workers Central Coast, North Shore and Northern Beaches SIL's located in Toukley, Point Frederick, Lindfield, Wahroonga and Manly About the role: As a Senior Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for high-quality, adaptable and effective care to participants in CatholicCare's Supported Independent Living (SIL).
You will be able to provide more complex direct care in line with each individual's personal care plan.
These roles are open to existing employees and cover our SIL's located in Manly, Lindfield, Wahroonga, Point Frederick and Toukley.
Duties: Acting as the Senior Worker of the Disability Support Worker's team to provide daily supervision and practice support.
Act as the initial point of contact for any complex care needs of participants or residents and provide physical assistance with activities of daily living.
Support the Team Leader, Area Coordinator or Clinical Nurse in the management of complex needs within the Supported Independent Living settings.
Model best practice service delivery, Person-Centred Practice, promoting the choice, wellbeing and health of participants or residents.
Support the onboard, induct provide shadow shifts and train Disability Support Workers and volunteers.
Provide timely and effective advice to the Activity Leader or Team Leader on the need for resource allocation to maintain quality service delivery and viability.
Requirements: Certificate IV in Individual Support or relevant qualification and/or 3 years relevant complex direct care experience.
Ability to participate in a roster and travel between sites if required.
Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to an insured vehicle.
Working with Children Check.
NDIS workers check.
