The Opportunity:
Our Security and Technology Solutions team is looking for several Combat Systems Engineers, ideally with Maritime experience, for projects with Defence clients in Canberra and Sydney.
Key responsibilities will include: Developing, integrating, and validating combat systems for maritime platforms.Ensuring systems such as radar, sonar, communications, and weapon systems function together seamlessly.Leading systems engineering efforts to specify, design, develop, and test combat system components, including hardware and software, ensuring they meet operational and technical requirements.Providing ongoing support and maintenance of combat systems onboard naval vessels, ensuring systems are ready for operational deployment and meet performance standards.Analysing the performance of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimize capability, reliability, and effectiveness.Conducting system testing and evaluation to assess the performance of integrated systems.Collaborating with other engineering disciplines, including electronics, software, and mechanical engineers, to ensure effective integration of combat systems.Preparing technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.Identifying potential risks in combat systems and implementing mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and operational guidelines.Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending upgrades and new capabilities to enhance maritime defence systems. About You:
