Job Description Byrnecut has an opportunity within the Mining Operations Group for a capable and motivated Project Managers / Alternate Project Managers to join our international operations.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the project, setting standards and leading mine operations practices, so that safety, quality, fairness, and productivity of work are established and sustained.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Leading a positive culture of safety and health above all else Complying with all company reporting and contract administration requirements Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and quality control of contracted works Recruiting and maintaining a suitable workforce to meet contract obligations Managing all resources to deliver successful project objectives on time and on budget Preparation of budgets and collation of data on a systematic basis for progressive forecasting Ensuring that all efforts are made to reduce costs by effective expenditure and reduced wastage Identifying project risks and developing strategies to manage these Ensuring Byrnecut equipment is maintained in accordance with company policy Maintaining a productive business relationship with all stakeholders Managing a cohesive, professional, and committed project team The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes: A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent Relevant experience in both production and development operational activities Extensive experience in an underground mining environment (greater than 8+ years), including practical involvement Hold a current valid passport The ability and willingness to live overseas for the rostered period It is desirable that the applicants possess the following skills and attributes: A Queensland or Western Australian First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (or be capable of qualifying for this) Have previous international FIFO experience Have previous project management experience Be self-motivated and willing to liaise and interact with diverse local cultures Be flexible with job requirements and be willing to assist when fill in work is required Apply by COB 17 November 2024 The successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria prior to an Offer of Employment being made.
