Architects (Information & Communication Technology) Full time We are seeking expressions of interest for Platform Solution Architects to join our talent pool for an upcoming role within our Canberra team. Due to the nature of our client, Australian Citizenship and a minimum of NV1 Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance is required. This will be a permanent, full-time role. Interested candidates must be located in Canberra and able to work full-time from the client's site. The Platform Solution Architect is an advanced level expert who proactively supports the delivery of multi-technology consulting services to clients by analysing and providing strategies and solutions on all aspects of infrastructure and related technology components.
This role works on the development of the architectural approach for one or more layers of a complex solution and reviews the developed infrastructure to ensure that it aligns to roadmaps and adheres to architecture principles. This role deals with clients who have complex information technology environments.
Key Responsibilities: Designing and collaborating on services and technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Azure.Support the design of Java applications running in a Linux environment.Leading and coordinating cloud development activities between relevant stakeholders and technical resources – both internal and external.Periodically collaborating to develop and implement operational improvements.Leveraging experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency's cloud services.Maintaining skills and contemporary practice in the applicable technology stack.Conducting regular technology related reviews.Proactively supporting the development of new strategies and solutions.Supporting the pre-sales process.Selling solutions and services as identified.Fostering good relationships with clients, vendors and partners.Maintaining, improving and sharing knowledge related to the information technology industry.May be required to coach and train Associate and Senior Associate Consultants.Reviewing and evaluating client requirements in order to advise on the design, deployment and operation of infrastructures.Supporting the development strategies and solutions that define meta-architectural designs for complexity solutions that will address issues such as styles, concepts, mechanisms and principles that combine to formulate the architectural vision for a specific environment.Supporting research and investigation of emerging infrastructure technologies and the best practices associated with them.Continuously supporting the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes and tools.What will make you a good fit for the role? Extensive knowledge and understanding of the IT industry environment and business needs.Excellent understanding of multi-technology infrastructure design coupled with strategic thinking ability.Knowledge of multi-technology infrastructure design best practices which enables them to act as trusted advisors to clients on optimal infrastructure designs.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.Extensive knowledge of systems, software and programming languages.Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically.Ability to work in high-pressure situations.Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business.Ability to contribute information on relevant vertical markets.Ability to contribute to the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes and tools.Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of Cloud Implementations, preferably Microsoft Azure PROTECTED cloud environments.Java applications in a Linux environment or Java Development experience.Experience in designing automated deployments or their approach.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (preferably Ansible and ARM).Advanced comprehensive technical experience in a similar role within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment.Advanced multi-technology infrastructure design experience.Advanced expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience, demonstrating good experience in client needs assessment and change management.Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field.Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred, for example TOGAF.What we can offer you Working at NTT DATA you'll find the rewards are more than just financial.
