An opportunity exists for a passionate, experienced and innovative leader to join the College leadership team at Stretton State College as Head of Department Student Services, on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 6 months unless otherwise determined.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. About the RoleAs Head of Department, Student Services, you will focus on:
Working collaboratively with all members of the Leadership Team and Wellbeing Team to enact the school vision and strategic plan, with a focus on wellbeing and development of good character;Working collaboratively with all key stakeholders to build positive relationships that promote student wellbeing;Developing sustainable partnerships and maintaining positive relationships with and between: staff, students, parents, and external organisations;Leading case management of students including the management of student behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing;Leading curriculum in line with school and departmental initiatives, with a focus on the framework of Character Education that draws upon the ideals of innovation, excellence, and best practice;Tracking student outcomes and identifying trends in the areas of engagement, behaviour, and effort, and developing support/intervention plans to promote student achievement;Developing and implementing student wellbeing programs and activities relevant to Year Levels;Development of avenues to engage greater student voice;Reduce key SOS data trends with targeted programs and strategies;Maintaining a high visibility and presence within the school community;Identifying and regularly acknowledging the progress, efforts, and achievements of students in your cohort;Embedding socially just practices in daily school life for students in Year Levels so no student is 'left behind'.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
