An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic educator to join the team at Biloela State High School as Head of Department English. This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in English teaching, curriculum leadership, and a passion for supporting teachers in their professional growth. The position is temporary full-time, until 04 April 2025 unless otherwise determined.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. Your RoleAs the Head of Department English, you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following:
Lead the English department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of V9 Australian Curriculum and Senior English syllabus.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Develop the quality of teaching and learning within your department.Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.Manage student behaviour in the English faculty.Manage the human, financial and physical resources of the faculty.How to Apply To apply please attach the following:
