Reporting to the Project Manager, the scope of works includes the construction of complex FRP structures and associated civil works.About the Role: As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be accountable for:Interpreting specifications, drafting and maintaining drawings and plans, construction methods, and proceduresManaging and mentoring other Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and graduatesProviding lead support to the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and wider Project teamComprehensively understanding the scope of work, specifications, work plans, and drawingsDeveloping detailed work programs for allocated work packagesManaging scope of work, equipment, and materials, and ensuring complianceIdentifying variations in work packages and submitting lists for review by the Project ManagerProactively managing costs within your control to ensure project delivery within budgetDeveloping margin improvement strategies in conjunction with the Project Manager and teamsPreparing Project Specific Quality Management Plans and obtaining approval from the ClientAllocating responsibility to staff to perform the QA/QC inspections and duties as defined in the project quality plan and related proceduresDeveloping Project specific Construction Management Plans and getting the same approved by the clientPreparing and reviewing internal ITPs, forms & checklists for approval by ClientAbout You:Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringDemonstrated experience working in a FIFO or DIDO capacity preferredStrong FRP structures background specialistDemonstrated experience in leading and mentoring small engineering project teamsExcellent written and spoken communication skillsWhat we offer:Competitive salary package plus 30% site uplift plus superWeekly payTransfer and sponsorship of 482 Visa when in country (must be already based in Australia)Work amongst engaged leaders and collaborative teamsHigh-performance supportive HSE culturePaid Parental LeaveNovated Lease optionSafety being at the forefront of everything we doLong term permanent role and the opportunity to work on a range of long-term projects across AustraliaWhittens is committed to workplace diversity.
