Our Facilities Management team is dedicated to ensuring a safe, efficient, and inviting environment for the entire UniSC community.
These roles encompass a variety of functions such as building maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial services, and facility planning, all aimed at supporting the university's operational excellence.
Primary Objectives: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on university buildings, systems, and equipment to ensure their optimal functioning.
General groundskeeping duties, including landscaping, gardening, and exterior maintenance.
Coordinate custodial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all facilities.
Assist in facility planning and project management for new constructions, renovations, and space optimisation.
Contribute to environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce the university's ecological footprint.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing and resolving facility related issues reported by students, staff, and visitors.
Desirable Qualifications or Skills: Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field.
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer focused approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
