If you are curious about Fortescue's renowned culture and exceptional employee benefits, now's your chance to explore an exciting opportunity with us!We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Drill Controllers that are interested in pursuing a career with Fortescue.By applying to this EOI, you will be registered in a Talent Pool and notified as positions become available throughout 2025.Work Location: Perth - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.Roster: 4 days | 4 nights | 8 offJob Overview: Successful applicants will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of designated Autonomous Drilling systems to deliver the required mine plan drill production targets for delivery of blasted stock.Key ResponsibilitiesOperation of designated Autonomous Drill system/sStandby and delay reduction initiativesMaximise effective drilling time and operational efficiencyPlan optimum and efficient pattern executionOperation of designated TUM (Time Usage Model) software to ensure accurate reportingEnsure issues are promptly escalated to supervision teamsAssist in training of other team membersAssist in the review and creation of safe systems of work including – procedures, work instructions, training material and toolbox topicsQualifications and ExperienceOperational drilling experience in open cut mining on platform drill rigs (highly regarded)Previous control room experienceProficiency in the operation of SCADA, Ardvarc or Caterpillars MineStar Command System is highly desirableIntermediate computer literacy skills and a passion for Innovation and TechnologyDemonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work with several demanding prioritiesStrong understanding of production strategies for large scale Mining OperationsAbout UsBe part of something big.
