The Opportunity
Goal Group is seeking expressions of interest for upcoming Export Controls opportunities to join our expanding team in Canberra. You will join a vibrant and growing Export Controls team, supporting Defence and adjacent industry clients. Responsibilities
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Development and implementation of complete Trade Compliance Frameworks for clients.Providing specialist advice on Defence Export and Import activities, trade compliance oversight, and recommendations for facilitating import and export activities.Development or improvement of client Technology Control Plans.Data Management review and consolidation of client records, assisting with compliance reviews and audits.Progressing Trade Compliance documentation, such as applications and amendments to agreements.Recordkeeping processes compliant with ITAR, EAR, and other relevant regulations.Ensuring client Project teams understand their access, re-export, and transfer obligations.Preparing periodic reports based on KPIs and reporting non-compliance and corrective actions.Delivering ITC/EC training to clients and stakeholders.Researching changes to legislation and identifying compliance obligations.Writing and contributing to thought leadership materials.About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Current/recent experience in an International Trade compliance / Export Controls (ITAR) role.Knowledge of Australian, U.S., and European Export Controls laws and Customs Regulations.Experience in interpreting and implementing government policy relating to International Trade Compliance/Export Controls.NV1 Clearance is ideal; the ability to obtain and hold a Commonwealth of Australia Security Clearance is essential.Experience in delivering International Trade Compliance/Export Controls training is desirable.Tertiary qualifications in international commerce, Law, economics, or international relations are highly regarded.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Self-directed and client-focused attitude.Benefits of Joining Goal Group
