EOI | APS5 - EL1 Advisers, NIC Capability and Investment Multiple high profile roles available that provide unique opportunities to experience and support capability development across the National Intelligence Community.
The TeamThe National Intelligence Community (NIC) Capability and Investment team forms part of the NIC Capability and Performance Branch, which seeks to maximise the value of Australia's intelligence capabilities. We work with agencies on the development of joint capabilities and shared services, evaluate how the community is working together on our common missions and provide advice to the Government on intelligence priorities, requirements, performance and resourcing.
The team works in a dynamic and high tempo environment, working with stakeholders across the NIC and broader Government to drive collective capability and support investment decisions. It manages the Joint Capability Fund, works with the Department of Finance on national security resourcing and supports ONI's Mission performance and evaluation role through capability analysis.
This year the team will deliver a NIC Capability Assessment report to Government through our advice to Government function, which will constitute a significant undertaking and be relevant to all NIC agencies, setting up the key capability priority areas for the next 3 years.
We are particularly focused on how the NIC can work together on common challenges, such as technology, innovation, workforce, partnerships, and how we can align our strategic engagement and streamline governance arrangements.
The RolesThese roles are high profile and will provide opportunities to experience and support capability development across the NIC. We're looking for proactive and enthusiastic people to join our team to deliver the NIC Capability Assessment as a major piece of work from June to October 2024, as well as supporting other NIC capability and investment priorities.
Working in the Branch will provide you with a unique opportunity to see intelligence leadership in action, and offer a central role in shaping the NIC's capability agenda. This would be an excellent career opportunity for someone who is looking to build their understanding of how ONI and the NIC works, and how ONI leads the delivery of NIC capability and mission outcomes.
