You will provide support in HSE related matters, including integration and application of cultural and behavioral frameworks, and will actively coach workers to promote a positive culture on site.These roles will work on a 2/1 FIFO roster to our project in the Snowy Mountains in NSW. We will fly from Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.Your RoleMonitor and review Project HSE Management Plans (including Emergency Response Plan) to verify implementation and currency; update as requiredDeliver Corporate and client HSE programmesCreation of Project specific toolbox topics to address local HSE issues and facilitation of toolbox meetingsConsult with workers to improve HSE on siteCoach and influence site workers and management on the Projects hazard and risk management tools (e.g. JHA/SWMS, Take 5, hazard report and permits) and reinforce safe behaviours and address at-risk behaviours in the fieldConduct and support with incident investigations and identify causal factorsLead HSE inspections with site personnel (including subcontractors) and coach participants in identifying hazards and controlsSet up, monitor and review HSE registersAssist with delivery of the project inductionSupport injury management on site including monitoring injured person's and projects adherence to return to work plans onsiteCompletion of HSE ReportsBuild effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including client representativesAbout you:Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the Civil/ Construction space working on remote infrastructure projectsFormal OSH Qualifications such as Cert IV or Diploma is preferredBe open to working nightshiftCert 4 in Training and AssessmentConstruction Induction Training (White Card)Strong attention to detail and accuracySelf-starter with ability to communicate with all stakeholder levelsC' class drivers' licenseAbility to pass pre-employment medicalWhat we offer:Whittens are committed to investing in our people, offering learning and development opportunities to build on the skills and experience you bring.
