Do you enjoy a variety of work that is physical, creative, technical and science orientated? We are looking for motivated and self-driven Environmental Technicians or Hydrographers to join our team, based in each of our established offices in Rockhampton and Mackay. This unique position offers a blend of field and office work, combining science, engineering, the environment, data management and complex evolving technology to operate and maintain our networks of automated environmental monitoring stations. The essentials The ideal candidate would have the majority of the following attributes: Some environmental monitoring / hydrographic experience. Tertiary qualification in environmental science, water resources or similar (desirable). Competent with data acquisition and hydrographic software applications necessary for effective data management and field instrumentation operation. Project management experience. High level attention to detail, strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Professional oral and written communication skills. Able to work cohesively in a team environment. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions including short periods away from home. Ability to perform manual handling tasks in a wide range of outdoor conditions. Experience in the use of hand and power tools. Current manual car driver's licence. 4WD experience.
