Environmental Sustainability Specialist

Job Opportunity:
IEPro Recruitment is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join a civil contractor working on civil infrastructure projects in Queensland.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will lead the project team across all environmental-related topics and be responsible for:
Monitoring and managing construction activities regarding project environmental approvals and Construction Environmental Management Plan requirements;Conducting regular site inspections/audits of construction activities against the Construction Environmental Management Plan;Coordinating environmental impact assessment approvals and other environmental permits and licenses;Liaising with sub-contractor representatives and other stakeholders to develop solutions and strategies to achieve project environmental requirements and business goals;Supporting the project team with the preparation and implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans and associated sub-plans, environmental procedures, and Environment and Sustainability reporting.Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
Relevant tertiary education in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar;Minimum 3 years' experience working in a similar role on a major civil construction project in Australia;Demonstrated understanding of QLD Environmental Guidelines and Legislation;Stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Benefits:
